I HAVE A 2004 FORD FREESTAR. THE FUEL FILTER HAS FUEL LINE FITTINGS THAT DO NOT TAKE A BOX WRENCH TO REMOVE THEM. THE FITTINGS ARE BLACK WITH A YELLOW RING INSERTED INTO IT, THERE ARE FITTINGS AT EACH END OF THE FILTER.
CAN ANYONE TELL BE HOW THESE FITTINGS COME LOOSE, SO THAT I CAN CHANGE THE FILTER MYSELF.
I imagine they are quick release fittings. You may need to purchase a quick release tool, I think they run maybe $10 at Sears, or so I’ve heard.
Yes, they are quick release. You can get the necessary tool at most auto parts chain stores too.
