It wasn’t my Taurus, belonged to other family members. 1992 sedan, sold 2005, driven maybe 7,500 miles per year. AC, automatic trans, many of the higher end options. I think it had the 3.8L engine. The car seemed to be pretty reliable , the main repair problem over the years was the ignition switch, which needed to be replaced 2-3 times for fails to crank. Besides that some electrical system problems, caused by problems w/the electric-door locks and windows. No engine, AC, or transmission problems.
They never had blown head gaskets . . . ?
That was apparently a common occurrence with the 3.8
