You’ve gotta be kidding, right? You’ve already established the brand names TOM & RAY and CAR TALK over the last 2 decades or so and you think you need a new name for this animated TV offering? C’mon guys, I’m no marketing genius but way back when another Boston comedy duo (funnier than you guys by a few light years) switched from radio to TV back in the 60’s they called it the BOB & RAY SHOW because that’s who they WERE!
So here’s the thing. If you don’t tag it as TOM & RAY’S CAR TALK show the producers will be flying flush in the face of marketing reason and making a second large error right out of the gate. (The first was the delusional decision to animate one of the wittiest and brightest teams to hit the airwaves since the demise of WNEW’s Klavan & Finch)
So do us all a favor and Don’t drive like my brudder - or like the programming geniuses at PBS! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!
How about “More time being killed with Click and Clack” or “Who put Click and Clack on TV?”
Dare I write it? Sure: “Our Lousy TV Show” (or “Our Lousy Cartoon”)
