Name the new Car Talk TV show!

“Check Engine”

It’s short, easy to remember, and self-referential. Perfect!

Grease Monkeys: Click and Clack, The Tappet Brothers

CLICK & CLACK PRESENTS “ROLLS CANARDLY”-----about cars that roll down the hill, and can hardly roll up the next!

The Back Bay

boom splash
CAR-STOCK
Thee ways of Grease and Music

How about “Tappet Time”, “Tappet Tube”, or “Tappet TV”

Here it comes from another angle “Click & Clack On the Air”

Enjoy your Radio Show here in Olds, Alberta, Canada via the internet or iTunes Podcast.

I want to add one more to my list:

Nut 'n Bolt

Some of the ones that have been sent in are just too much. I love the play on soap operas “One Lube to Live”. “Transmission Impossible” is great as is Boyz under the Hood. Too funny. Thanks to all of you creative listeners out there.

Click-etty-Clack
(don?t call back!)

Car Knuckles - Heads and Draggers

I listened to your program today and heard a gazillion references to Knuckle-Heads and thought there’s a good name. Then there are the Knuckle-Draggers who are kind of Neanderthal going around wacking things with tools (hammers, wrenches, rocks) trying to get things to work.

So I thought - Hey how about using both stereotypes - those who break things out of innocence and those who just like to give it a good wack to see if that fixes it;-)

Good Luck with the Show!

How about… The Mechaniacs Show

“Don’t Drive Like My Brother”

“Don’t Drive Like My Brother — Don’t Drive Like My Brother” This title is floating over Tom and Ray and they are pointing at each other (perhaps looking up at the title) and grinning or laughing.

How about: Caramba.

The dictionary definition says “informal, often humorous–an expression of surprise or dismay.”

I can’t think of a better description of Car Talk, it’s also easy to remember, very expressive, and fun to say, so people might talk about the show just 'cuz they get a kick out of saying the word.

Good luck with the show guys.

Don’t know how many of these will have already appeared, but… Car Talk (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it;) another suggestion of Don’t Drive Like My Brother; in honor of a joke you once told, a nickname by which we still often refer to you: Morons; The Tappert Brothers; Stump the Chumps (nah, too much like a game show;) The Bob Newhart Show; Everybody Loves Morons; Car Talk Plaza; Tom & Ray’s Garage; Click & Clack’s Garage; Morons in the Garage; Moron Mechanics (or Moronic Mechanics;) In the Shop (with Tom and Ray, or with Click and Clack, or with the Tappert Brothers;) Dizzy Mechanics (a play on an old Three Stooges franchise;) The Two Stooges; Two Morons; National Public Morons; This Old Jalopy; take a cue from Adam Sandler and put the names of your parents in the title: something like Mrs Magliozzi’s Boys; or just The Magliozzi Boys; The Magliozzi Brothers; Send In the Morons/Chumps; The Click & Clack Almanac… I’ll let you know if I have any other bright ideas.

“Warped Rotors”
“Belts & Pullys”
“C & C’s Daily Grind”
“Highway Coma”

A bit more ersatz dignity is in order. Here’s your name “Click/Clack” (ala Nip/Tuck). Hey, same concept, only with real things instead of people.

Please tell me where you’re going to send the prize money for this great name and I’ll move there.

“At the Side of the Road With Click and Clack”

“Wasting 30 Minutes With Click and Clack”

“Car Talk’s Time Kill TV”

“Auto Antics With Click and Clack”

How about “On the Lift”?

Or “On the Lift With Click and Clack”

THE TAPPET BROTHER’S PIT CREW
