Who is the audience? Children? Can’t be! The show will be about receiving and answering calls about cars? Can’t be!
My husband and I are huge fans (though you wouldn’t know it by our donation record). We listen to you on our iPod as we drive the dangerous streets of Doha, Qatar (that is not in the USA by the way!)
Name it: Click and Clack
All the best shows have the “guy’s” name for the title. Sienfeld, Kim Possible, Tom and Jerry, The Simpsons, McGyver, Popeye, The Incredible Hulk, The Brady Bunch, Flipper, on and on!
If you pick this name, I hope you give me extra consideration due to my many examples to convince you on the name!
I would suggest Cartalktoon, or car talk toon, or cartalk toon. I like a show that lets you know what it is about in the title.
I am looking forward to the show.
It needs to be short sweet and to the point “Click and Clack Oops!” or “Click and Clack 'Boat Payment!” or “Click and Clack 'What’s the problem?” or “Click and Clack: Broken down dreams” You could always go for something that would catch people’s attention when they’re channel surfing “What did you do to my car?!” You could pay tribute to another NPR show “Wait wait, how much?”
There must be something better on. - Out of alignment - Tune out - PsyCAR-a-tryst - Don’t blame us - Glove Box Counselors - Stick shift it to the man - Our moonroofs don’t go back all the way - Serious misfires - Not firing on all cylinders - Flat tire satire - Dead batteries - Jumper Cables - Self service - Automatic simpletons - Car Nuts - Spare flat doughnuts - You can’t get there from here - Give it to me straight drive - It takes the big 3 to make #2 - Don’t ask us about cars - I should’ve been an electrician - We don’t make light bulbs, ma. - Short fuses - I’ll take a snort with that laugh - It’s up on the rack - Questionable Answers - Brotherly shove - No, you fix it. - It’s not the reception, it’s the transmission. - Grease bunkies (Playing off the possibility of the brothers living together) - Dips in the road
I think you should have a name that includes (and preferably starts with) the “Car Talk” label for bame recognition, and follow that with a descriptor that has some alliteration in it that is also self-deprecating: My suggestions would be:
