1995 4.0L, 4x4, 5speed manual transmission, 205k miles. I have a vacuum leak that seems to be where the tube enters the upper intake manifold coming from the EGR valve. As best I can see the plastic plenum and the tubing appear to be intact and corrosion free, although I haven’t yet seen the engine side of these. My Haynes manual is no help with this.
Is there a seal which may have failed between the tubing and the plenum? Are these composite manifolds on the 4.0 prone to cracking in this area? Any other ideas?
