hello
i have toyota mr2 2002 it starts fine but after driving about 1 or 2 miles when i come to a stop the gear stuck on 2nd and wont change , i have to turn of the car and start it agian , i took it to the dealer they couldnt give me answer , do u have any ideas please help

You didn’t specify.
If this is an automatic transmission, I think that the transmission may be defaulting to “limp home” mode, which causes the trans to stay in 2nd gear.
If this is an automatic, I would suggest that you take the car to an independent transmission shop for diagnosis before you aggravate the situation and wind up with repairs that are more expensive.
DO NOT take the car to AAMCO, Lee Myles, Cottman, Mr. Transmission, or any other chain operation unless you want to be overcharged for poor workmanship and for more repairs than are actually necessary.

its automatic tiptronic i took it all over shops but no results with the problem even tto the dealer
