Mouse nest under hood of Subaru Forester

Hello, I have a 2004 Subaru Forester with 68,000 miles. I have a mouse nest under the hood somewhere behind the glove box. This is the third time this has happened. When I put the air conditioning on, the car sounds like it’s ready for takeoff at the nearest airport. Someone suggested putting mothballs under the hood; doesn’t work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Go to a local garden center and ask for fox or bobcat urine repellant.

You sprinkle this in the area of your vehicle, and the critters think there’s a predator in the area and move on. Plus it’s safe for plants, animals, and humans.

You may have to have your heater box disassembled (like changing the heater core) and clean everything out to restore order…
