Motor Trend Price Finder - is it right?

How good is this tool, and can I trust it as a source of information?

I haven’t tried it. I have used Edmunds for new cars, and it is very good.

Do Edmunds prices include tax and licensing and destination charges?

Here’s what they say about it:

The Total Cash Price for new cars is the sum of a vehicle’s True Market Value® (TMV®) price, along with typically equipped options, destination charge, base tax for the state and any applicable luxury or gas-guzzler taxes. For used vehicles, the total cash price shown is the sum of the vehicle’s Private Party TMV price in “clean” condition, plus typically equipped options, and base tax and fees in your state.

Suggested prices you find on the Internet will not include taxes or registration fees, since these vary from state to state.

The price you see is for the vehicle only, and it’s just a suggestion, or an average, something to work with. It’s not cast in stone.

Thanks so much, everyone. I’m not keeping my old car after all…don’t ask. I’m sad, but it is for the best. I’m sure i’ll feel better when I’m driving the new car, but I’ve had the old one for a long time and I’m attached. At least I think I’m getting a good deal. I may have to change my username now…
