If all our windows are replaced with video screens someday, then some clever idiot will hack the system so they can watch video on their windshield while driving.
If the system is designed with even minimal security…then it CAN’T be hacked. And I doubt there’s even anything to hack. It’s probably a direct feed…NOT computer controlled.
I drove lots of cars that were made before outside or inside mirrors were required. They all had one thing in common. Great visibility, you sat up high and had windows to look out of.
Modern sedans all have trunks so high that you can’t possibly see a child standing behind your car and you can’t see them out your side mirror either.
When I park in my driveway I do what I did with a tractor trailer. I sweep the area I am going to back into and get perpendicular to it and back in without delay.
When I leave in the morning I can warm the car, scrape the windows without worrying about someone behind me.
My son in law has a 1950 Chrysler that has a pass forward mirror on the drivers windshield post with a large and small lens facing each other. This gives you a view down the road to make it safer to pass on a 2 lane road.
