I’m looking at a 1999 Honda CRV on a nearby lot. It has 152K miles on it. Haven’t driven it yet. Anyone out there have thoughts about this car? Things to look out for?
19 years old with 152k? I’m not paying a lot for it AND I’m making sure my mechanic is giving it a prepurchase inspection before I even consider it

Unless you can verify–with documentation–that the transmission fluid was changed every 30k miles or so, I would pass on a vehicle with that many miles. If the trans was not serviced on that type of schedule, it is living on borrowed time and could fail at any time.
(Translation=A very expensive trans overhaul awaits someone who buys a high-mileage vehicle whose trans hasn’t been serviced.)
