TBI, Traumatic Rain Injury.
Thank you all for the input about the tires!
It is educating.
Again, thank you also for your compassion for TBI which disabled me.
Enjoy your Sunday all!!!

My opinion is at odds with the majority but if there is no weather checking at all down inside the tread and around the edges of the wheel rim and IF the rubber still has a somewhat soft feel to it Iād probably run them without worry.
The heat inside the car wonāt bother them. The sunlight is the main factor. Just my humble 2 cents or less than two.
See, I took that to mean that he parked the old car because the car was suffering from throttle body injection problems, and that is why the tires were removed.
ALL people should be given leeway on issues of typing, spelling, and grammar when it comes to helping them. There are countless millions of us who have suffered from TBI, whoāve suffered strokes, whose first language is not English, and who simply got robbed of a decent education by a pathetically dysfunctional educational system. So, let us focus on the problems rather than the posters.
Iāve attached a link
http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html
to a very user-friendly site thatāll give you lots of information about tires. Unfortunately, I couldnāt find one that discusses age-related tire conditions. I looked for one with photos that was not published by those with a vested interest in the sale of new tires. Tire manufacturers and sellers will IMHO be inclined toward telling you that tires are bad even when theyāre not.
My own feeling is that if when inflated to proper specs a tire does not exhibit cracks between the treads or on the sidewalls, the tread is at least 50% there are evenly worn, AND balancing on a machine that does road force balancing discloses no internal defects, the tire is safe for local driving. If itāll be subjected to sustained highway driving, Iām inclined to err toward safety and would limit the acceptable age to 7 yearsā¦ perhaps less in a hot climate. The attached link will tell you how to find and interpret the tireās date of manufacture.
Others are sure to disagree. The truth is that thereās widespread disagreement on the age of tires, and it may be that there are wide differences between safe ages by manufacturer, wear rating, speed rating, and other variables. I think the only thing everyone agrees on is that the vehicle itself has to be in good shape.
