Oil pump failures are awfully rare. But the situation with the OP being blown off by the dealer and FMC in the face of such an obvious problem with the new engine really leaves me questioning Ford’s position in honoring their warranty on any claim. The only justifiable reason for declining to replace the engine in such a situation in my opinion is if there is suspicion that the metal was poured into the engine to purposely damage it. Was there possibly some ongoing conflict between the dealership and the OP?
