Maintenance Required reset on 1991 Montero

At 150,000 miles my Maintenance Required light came on. From what I can glean from the internet I have to remove the instrument cluster and reset a tab near the back of the odometer. My problem is that I can’t figure out how to remove the cluster. My shop manual and views on the internet all show a slightly different version of my dashboard and so their diagrams don’t get me anywhere. I have found only two screws on either side of the steering wheel and they DO loosen it up. But there seems to be something else holding it in place. Ironically, the speedo and tach bezels have FAKE hex heads APPEARING to hold them in place (like in an aircraft). Too bad they don’t really do anything. Thanks. This is a 1991 Monty LS.
