Main beam is stuck on with normal lights and wont go off.....why?

i turned on my lights, as you do whilst driving and the main beam came on, it WILL NOT GO OFF no matter which way i turn the switch etc etc etc. Its stuck on permenantley, and the blue warning light on the dash board is on and wont go off neither. Anyone have any ideas whats wrong and how much it will cost to fix it ???

The dimmer switch is shorted and must be replaced…In some cars, this switch also performs other functions, and is called a multi-function switch. Cost to repair depends on how difficult it is to replace the switch and how much the switch itself costs…

I’d bet the dimmer switch is faulty. You need a new one.
