I drive my Shelby less than 1000 miles per year. When do I change oil? Is synthetic oil better in high performance engines driven rarely?
Change the oil once a year. A high performance engine is a great place for synthetic oil.
Annually is probably not a bad thing, but you might go longer if your driving is 50 miles or more at a time than if it is 10 miles at a time. Short trips are severe service, not low mileage per se.
