My transmission light on my dash board occasionally lights up. Where is the transmission fluid dip stick for my '99 Isuzu Trooper?
There isn’t one. There’s a plug further up on the transmission that you take out and with the engine running and the transmission in park fluid should just dribble out of it. If it doesn’t you fill it up until it does.
It’s a miserable design-- if I were you I’d take it to an independent transmission and have them deal with it, especially since if the light is a transmission temp light, it would be a very good idea to diagnose the problem and change the fluid.
