possible fault if indicators are affected by brake lights?

Your explination of trouble isn’t very clear to understand. If you are saying that the dash lights are turning on when the brakes are pressed then replace the brake lights. There is a filament problem in one of them.
If you are having trouble with the gauges changing when the brakes are pressed then look for a ground problem within the dash wiring.
I’ll take a shot too. Indicators…turn signals? Possible electrical short.
