the dashboard lights ownt go off when the car is turned off
It would help to have make, model, year, and options. But, the problem could be ignition switch or dash board circuit. Worse case would be a new dashboard unit.
This was one of the myriad of problems that I had with my '74 Volvo, and the solution was finding and fixing a bad ground connection in the dashboard area.
That would be the first thing to check on my list.
