I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina LS that came with 3 keys. I know the ignition and the door, trunk and glove box keys but what is the 3rd key for
Gas cap?
It may be a valet key that works the door and the ignition but not the glove box or trunk.
Console storage lid lock?
(Or is there no console here?)
Is there any info in the Owner’s Manual?
“I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina LS that came with 3 keys.”
Came from where? From a previous owner that changed one or more of the locks? Are all the keys original OEM style keys, or is one of them not shaped like the car keys? Check the toothed part of the keys and see if the third key is similar to one of the others, but maybe just worn down badly.
Honestly, this ought to be a no-brainer. Just walk around the car and see what key fits what lock. If you get all the way around the car and haven’t found a place for the third key throw it away.
