Jeep Engine Runs hot

I just have been driving my jeep with a new engine rebuild and I have noticed it runs hot while driving. Highway driving runs even hotter and city driving(starting and stopping ) is a little better. No leaks, radiator is fine, new water pump, hoses replaced. Could it be the timing is off? Or it’s just working in the new engine??? Have no idea!!

thanks !!!

Make sure the timing is correct. A mechanic set the timing on my f 250 10 degrees after TDC instead of before once. That really caused a lot of probs. Of course I do my own work now. I don’t think a new engine should run hot if everything is installed correctly. Have you checked the thermostat in hot water?

I will go and do this now!!..Thanks so much!!
