I’m trying to find a solution to my problem. I believe the part it called a reed or needle valve. I goes in the trunk of my jag right by the fuel filter. My problem is that I don’t remember how to put it back on. It has three valves on it one which is a one way valve. Can you help tell me how to put it back in???

What year and model Mike ?
There are slight variations depending on year, engine & fuel system.
A 78 XJ6 4.2 carb fuel system is very different to that on a 79 5.3 injection.
