Intermittent starting - 2014 Honda CRV

I have been having starting issues over the last six months with my 2014 Honda CRV. I have had multiple mechanics look at it, but the problem does not occur when it’s in the shop.

Issue: Turn key and the car does not start. Sometimes there is one “click”, other times, “silence.” Turn key a few more times and car starts. It does this eery so often, sometimes doesn’t do it for a week, sometimes everyday.

The battery and alternator tested fine. Mechanic said it’s most likely starter, but could be ignition switch or lose wire. I’m inclined to just change out the starter, but has any thoughts are appreciated.

Did they check for a faulty starter cut relay?

Mechanic is probably correct. Has the voltage at the two starter electrical terminals been measured when this happens?
