I have a 2002 Kia Sedona Mini Van. When I start up my vehicle it idles really low and nearly dies. It also will lunge a little. After it has been running for a little bit it will act normal. I do live in a cold climate area right now but park in the garage. It does this everytime I start it up lately and it doesn’t matter if it is really cold or warm out. Any help would be appreciated!
The next time you know it’s going to start the same way, try this.
Turn the ignition switch to the run position so the dash lights come on for two seconds, and then turn the ignition switch off. Repeat this a half dozen times and then try starting the engine. If the engine starts and runs smoothly, most likey the problem is with the anti-drain back valve in the fuel pump assembly.
