I changed both idler pulleys (AC and Alternator) and still I hear metal-to-metal noise. If a bearing is bad on one of the other pulleys, how do I find that out and can I replace it myself?
Remove the belt and try turning the pulleys by hand, checking for excessive resistance and looseness. Check the tenmsioner per the maintenance manual too. I’d bet that’s where the problem is.
