Purchased in January 2018 Forester 2.5i Premium 6 speed. On March 13 2020 my AC condenser went out costing me $1300. Now just over 60 days later the compressor and expansion valve went out costing me another $1600. This is my second Subaru and I can only compare it to being in a bad relationship. I love my car, but I’ve never had so many issue’s with a car before. In 2016 I had an oil consumption issue. December 2019 catalytic converter cracked and had to be replaced.
Not warranty-covered? Why?

That would mean you’re in big trouble!
Because, Love! That’s what makes a Subaru a Subaru!

A 2018 car bought in 2018 has no warranty left? After 14 months you had no coverage? Where’s the love man?
A crack in alum condenser usually means a small leak. Unless you hit a cow. I would have bought a case of Freon and added it when needed.
I have replaced A/C condensers that had stone damage, not covered by the warranty.
That could be what damaged the compressor, operating with an insufficient amount of refrigerant can stop the lubricant from circulating through the system.
