My electric locks stopped working on my 2001 Impala. They will not operate with the fob(s) or by pushing the switches. They have power going to them.
Any suggestions?
My bet is the remote battery is too low or dead. Change the battery and have the remote(s) reprogrammed.
OR, if your Impala has the security flasher/receiver under the dash cover next to the windshield, remove the dashtop cover and clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner.
I had this fault with my 2000 Silhouette a while back and cleaning the contacts there solved the problem. My independent tech nailed this one right off.
