I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt with 30,000 miles on it. In the last couple of weeks it has become ahrder and harder to turn my ignition on, sometimes I think I am going to break the ignition trying to turn the key. I sometimes have to take the key out and use the other side to start it, and sometimes I have to jiggle it to get the ignition to turn over. Is this something I can fix with some WD-40 or something, or is it a bigger problem?
Don’t use a liquid lubricant. Go to Home depot or Lowes in the key and lock section and pick up some graphite lubricant. Shoot that in your ignition and work it in. That’s your first step to see if that solves your problem.
Why is this not a warranty concern?
