I miss not being able to tell one car from another

Hear! Hear! Remove the badges and one car looks much like the other. I happened to see a Volvo S40, BMW 325 and an Acura TL all parked in a row. They all looked almost exactly alike. This is why my two favorite cars are the Acura NSX and the Subaru SVX. You’ll never confuse them with any other car.

Speaking of T-Birds, after not seeing one in years, yesterday a '62 turquoise convertible was parked outside my apt. Holy-moly, that’s a big car… by today’s standards. Must have seemed small & sporty at the time. A wider wheel-base like a Humvee almost. That thing must stick to the road pretty well. Chrome everywhere, Thunderbird badges everywhere and just in case you weren’t sure, a big chrome “Thunderbird” badge in italics on the glove box, just so the passenger could be well-informed. No secret symbols like we have now, another Mercedes rip-off it seems.

Well, wider wheelbase than an H3 Hummer anyway. H3 is 111.9" and the '62 T-bird is 113" The H2 wheelbase is 122.8" and the H1 is 130"
