I recently got my 3rd Subaru Legacy Station Wagon. Because I did not want leather, and I did want a sun/moonroof, I went for the Legacy SE rather than an Outback.
Can I increase the ground clearance using different tires or shocks???
I want to get a few extra inches of clearance for the bad road on our remote property. My 94 legacy had those goofy air shocks that could raise and lower, but they died after about 5 years, and I replaced them with “regular” shock system. Even then, the 94 handled the road under most conditions. The 06 however seems lower.
Any ideas? The factory tires are P205/50R17.
