I?m tired of carrying the big, heavy key fob for my 2007 Volvo V70. Yet I understand that it has to broadcast a code to the ignition or the car won?t start. Can I just use the valet key? (Does that broadcast the code? Seems like it must.
How could I ever get a remote start installed with this problem of the code broadcasts?

Why don’t you just try it and see what happens?
Can’t you just cut a key that fits your door- use that one and keep the bulky key in the glove compartment.
I bought the car used without a valet key - good thinking though!
