A 1994 Corvette Coupe with standard equiptment has a horn that will sound (activate) when horn button on sterring column sometimes. Sometimes the horn will not sound. The horn has been exchanged. The horn sending unit (activating unit) has been exchanged. When driving down the highway at speed sometimes the horn will sound. A few minutes later the horn will not sound. A few minutes later the horn will sound. This horn is real mystery.
I suspect the trouble is with the switch itself or the wire in the column is grounding out somehow and making the horn sound. The switch circuit usually makes a ground connection to activate the horn.
