The horn starts honking even if no one is trying to break in. I can stop it by using the unlock button on the remote. What is causing This and how can I stop it?
Probably a bad door, hood, or trunk ajar switch. Otherwise it could be an electronic module problem.
My Jeep Cherokee sounded it’s horn every morning for about a week. I discovered that the horn relay was operating on it’s own. It was due to temperature changes because it was roughly the same time each morning. I put clear silicone sealer around the base of the cover and it’s been silent ever since.
Agree with your sealing things up. Same thing on a Dodge RAM with cold humid mornings. Same frustration. Same solution.
