I have a 2004 Honda Pilot. It has 137,000 miles on it - about 10,000 miles ago it started making a noise like riding over a grate at speeds between 35 - 50 mph. I have had some issues with tires which have worn inconsistantly and give me road noise, but i don’t think this is related. It’s very random. Any clues?
Random, like only occurs when turning a corner? Sounds like a bad wheel bearing. Have your mechanic check it out. 10,000 miles on a bad bearing is way too long. If it seizes or fails completely, it could lead to an accident.
