Good-on Honda for supplying free loaner cars while air-bag replacement is under-way.

The recall takes less than an hour so don’t go too far with that loan car.

This recall is more than 7 years old, some owners don’t care. Of the 8200 vehicles, I wonder how many are parked/inoperable. These vehicles won’t get removed from the recall list until they are repaired or salvaged.

Like I said I don’t recall if it was the 08 or the 12 that they would not sell until the passenger bag was replaced. So they had a whole car lot full of cars that Acura would not let them sell.

Now that I looked at the list I can understand their concern. I think replacement is recommended anyway after 15-20 years.

When a used car is sold sometimes the manufacturer doesn’t know who the new owner is no can’t contact them regarding recalls. I agree that sometimes owners put off having the repairs made. That is especially true for Tamara air bag initiators since they were back ordered for so long. In this case it makes sense to remind owners to get the repair done.
