Is it SAFE to drive my 2004 CRV until it is repaired due to A/C compressor needing to be repaired?
When it comes to AC compressors, they can fail in two ways.
One is if the compressor has failed internally where it no longer functions. In that case, no further damage can be done. Because the compressor won’t operate.
The other failure is with the compressor clutch bearing. When these fail, it takes out the compressor and the compressor clutch. Which can also takes out the belt.
So it depends in which manner the compressor is faiing.
