Have a 2005 Honda CRV. Occasionally when driven over 25-35 mph will begin to hear a loud, high-pitch sound that resembles a musical note. Sound goes away if wheel is turned to left, but soon returns. Also will go away if brake is applied. Have gotten new tires & brakes. Mechanic does not know what problem is. Can anybody help?
Possibly a wear indicator on your brake pads, have them checked.
I just had the brake pads and the rotor replaced.
I’d be looking at the wheel bearings - all of them since those sounds are hard to pin down in terms of location.
I agree that the first thing to check is all of the wheel bearings.
