Brings back memories. The parents of our neighbor lived in Detroit. They’d go to the factory and pick a new one up every year or so. Then we’d get a chance to look it over when they would visit. I guess it was a 61 or 62. Nice car company you’ve got there. Too bad if something happened to it.

Yes. In 1963 the 300J made the two four barrel engine optional. No more cross ram even with the 2 fours.

I’m guessing that the 300 “letter” car whose Cross Ram engine I gazed at must have been a 1960 or 1961. So, without the Cross Ram system, the engines with 2 4-barrels looked like this?

1955 Chrysler C-300, the “Banker’s Hot Rod”.
Under the hood was a 5.4-liter Hemi V8 that produced 300 horsepower. It took the NASCAR circuit by storm, and was one of the fastest cars in America at the time.
