Started two days ago, when I turn on the heat in my vehicle, it will blow hot air for about 4 or 5 seconds, and then slowly fade away. If I leave it off for about 60 seconds and turn it back on, it will struggle and fizzle out more quickly. If the car is warmed up, the short time that it does blow air, the air is warm as usual.
Nothing out of the ordinary has happened, but I do park outside and it has been as low as 5 to 10 degrees at night for several nights.
What type of issue or repair might I be looking at here?
If you are saying the blower motor dies out after a short time I would first suspect the blower relay as the cause of the trouble. If replacing the relay doesn’t help then it may be the motor itself. Checking the power to the motor will show where the trouble is at.
