Yeah, I can’t believe how many idiots I see out there driving around with one or more tires practically flat! The wheel rims are about to slice through the tread. I wish that were a $500 fine/6 points on the license offense. It’s not only stupid and wasteful, it’s dangerous too, and causes crashes when a low tire overheats and fails at speed.
You’re kidding! Wow! I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the “Spare Pressure Low” indicator goes on every time I start the car up. I had no idea what that meant (I suppose I could have looked it up, but it seemed like spare tire pressure wasn’t that important). I’ve even brought the car into the shop several times for other things and no one has ever said anything about adding air to the spare tire. Is there a problem with driving with low spare time pressure aside from the obvious that I would have a low tire if I needed to use it?
