I have a hard shift between 3rd & 4th gears, I have had the transmission replaced twice. Could it be something else?
That all depends on the color of the car…
oh, and the make, model and year. It is an automatic, I take it?
If a manual, it’s possible the clutch isn’t disengaging properly. But that usually shows up more in the lower gears. But it is still possible that’s the problem. Also bad motor mounts could be a cause.
Usually the cause of this symptom – whether automotic or manual – is the transmission itself. A good xmission shop could figure it out straight away.
Year, make, model, engine size??? Has is been serviced lately?? When??? Need all this info before we can even guess to what is wrong.

Who did the replacements last week? What did they say was the problem and why are they not fixing it?
