I just bought a '97 Dodge Caravan. It was converted from new for wheelchair ramp. Floors were lowered etc. The van is loaded, only 53000 miles. The problem is the “door ajar” light and chimes are on most of the time even all the doors are closed. I did notice the driver’s door when closed, appears to not be tight and someone outside could put their finger in the space. Could this make the door ajar light to come on? A simple adjustment?
Also the automatic door locks continue to lock and unlock all the time. Same problem with the door not being adjusted? Unknown if vehicle had been in an accident. Thanks!
Yup, it’s all the same problem. Get that one door latch fixed or adjusted, the chime will quit, and door locks will work.
