i have a 1989 1/2 ton gmc pickup v-8. it has e gas in the tank (been sitting for 5 years (Aprox.) got the engine to turn and fire. it seems to flud out when i push on the gas. i pulled, cleaned and re gapped all the plugs. could the gas be bad or?

After five years, it would be very surprising if the gas weren’t bad.
