I have a few of those metric Crescent wrenches… 
I remember a guy who figured out the note each wrench made when struck, played tunes on them.
That seems like the best use I’ve heard for the adjustable wrench, except for the uses I’ve seen plumbers have.
lol … very funny … reminds me I have to get my tools organized on a pegboard like that. Maybe one day.
Last time I used a Crescent wrench, not that long ago, was a plumbing job, replacing an outdoor hose-bib washer. I use them for bicycle repair too on occasion. They work pretty good for straightening a bent rim. For car repair? Not so much.
