Has anyone had the same issue purge valve failed
Do you “top off” your gas tank when you fill up?
purge valves commonly fail . . . on several different brands, not just Ford
Yes, that’s a common problem reported here on many brands. The purge valve opens when the computer decides it is time to move fuel vapors stored the charcoal canister to the engine. So it is an emissions issue, and if it doesn’t work will trigger a code and a check engine light. It can affect drivability too, if the purge valve opens when it shouldn’t.
