F150 drivers side window repair

My window came off the two metal u-shaped clamps that hold it to the lift mechanism. I know it was factory glued into the clamps (saw the “gunk” left when removed). My first attempt at repair failed when one clamp loosened due to improper alignment. Any suggestions on this repair? (proper adhesive, alignment/positioning, etc)
