This is my first time on this forum and I wasn’t aware of whom I was speaking to(professional mechanics giving their best advise)…
Even though my misplaced comment was based on 2 prior regrettable experiences, I agree with you that 2 bad apples doesn’t spoil the whole bunch.

Lots of good mechanics and car-experts here, but not everybody is a mechanic. Many are driveway diy’ers like me. Some are just interested in cars.
