what type of engine oil do I need for a 2000 Dodge Durango 4x4 SLT. Mileage is over 170,000
Whatever the owner’s manual specifies is what you should use. There may be a sticker under the hood or lettering on the oil fill cap, too.
You don’t need any sort of “high mileage” or “special” oil, just use what the manual says.
Im going to guess it’s either 5W30 or 10W30, but read the manual to be sure.
ALL Dodges built between 1918 and 2008 require that “Motor Oil” be used to lubricate the engine…
