Engine Misfires

My truck stalls when I stop fast. Sometimes it will not start again for days. Recently, the engine began to “skip” and is getting progressively worse. New plugs and wires were replaced three months ago. Any ideas?

You might want to check the fuel pump.

There’s a sock screen at the bottom of the fuel pump assembly. And if this sock partially breaks off the fuel pump or has detiorated the sloshing of the gas in the gas tank can cut the flow of gas to the fuel pump.

If you check the fuel pump out, it’s much easier to tilt or lift the bed off to gain access to the fuel tank.
