Electrical Problems 2001 Chevy Prizm

I replaced the drivers seat in my 2001 Chevy Prizm tonight. After that the car died when I put it into drive from park. Also the ac was making a humming noise. The car also died when I turned on the turn signals. This is a new to me car that has been running like a champ until this. I started to smell something in the cabin and unhooked the battery. The lights will also not turn off now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Could you have possibly pinched any wires while reinstalling the seat?
